After creating award-winning animation in Hollywood for almost two decades, Angie Jones returned to her love for traditional art under the moniker Stix and Jones. She is currently enrolled in the MFA Painting program at Laguna College of Art and Design, working with her mentors Kent Williams and Aaron Smith. Jones has started a new series in the MFA program that is as much about exploring paint as is exploring a message. Her newest work is concerned with the destruction of the soul by modern social media and consumerism. Jones updates her online art journal frequently with new work, pieces in progress, musings, inspiration, information about shows and more. Updates are made frequently to her online art journal of new work, pieces in progress, musings, inspiration, information about shows and more.

Since, her first participation in a group show at James Gray Gallery: Bergamont Station in 2008, Jones' work has appeared in several group exhibitions in Los Angeles. In February of 2010, she was featured in an article on “page one” of the Wall Street Journal spotlighting her Vanitas skate board series. From that exposure, The Bedford Gallery asked her to participate in a U.S. Tour of art called “Full Deck - A Short History of Skate Art.” The decks are touring the U.S. for the next two years.
